I really, really love my shoes.
There’s something special about the shoes that carry us through our daily lives: they hold the memory of every step. This series is a love letter to three pairs I can’t live without: my platform Crocs, my chunky Melissa Lazy Oaf sandals, and my classic Havaianas flippers. I wanted to push myself technically with digital coloring, but I also wanted to capture the weird, wonderful personality these objects have.
The result is a quirky portrait session where my footwear finally gets to strike a pose.
